In this unit I have learn some important aspects that involves teaching, one of them was motivation; which refers to the internal and external factors that stimulate desire and energy in people to be continually interested and committed to a job, role or subject, or to make an effort to reach a goal.
There are two kinds of motivation; extrinsic and intrinsic motivation. The first one is extrinsic motivation that includes parental expectations, expectations of other trusted role models, earning potential of a course of study, and grades (which keep scholarships coming). The second one is intrinsic motivation that includes fascination with the subject, a sense of its relevance to life and the world, a sense of accomplishment in mastering it, and a sense of calling to it. In teaching with every opportunity, encourage your students that they are making progress in their language learning. Point out to them the areas in which you see progress and improvement.
We as future teachers should take care of the learners who are unmotivated or demotivated in order to make them start getting interesting in learning.

Great ideas Gloria, intrinsic and extrinsic motivation are factors that will influence the learning process and environment on learners
ReplyDeleteI agree with you on the teachers have to find the most interesting ways to make students find motivaiton in what they are learning. In this way educators would avoid learners are unmotivated or demotivated.

Glo I found it essential that you pointed out the importance of being aware and take care of the learners who are unmotivated or demotivated in order to make them start getting interesting in learning otherwise we won't have our outcomes achieved.
